Volunteer Code of Conduct
Our volunteers are the most important part of the Clearwater Jazz Holiday experience for our guests. We look to you to be the face of Clearwater Jazz and without you this event would not be possible!
As a volunteer, we ask that each of you review the code of conduct below and keep it in mind as we work through these amazing 4 days!
As a volunteer, I will:
Be on time for my scheduled shift.
Treat everyone with respect, patience, integrity, courtesy, dignity, and consideration.
Do whatever I can to ensure attending the Clearwater Jazz Holiday is a positive experience for all guests.
Provide a safe environment by not harming anyone in any way, whether through discrimination, sexual harassment, physical force verbal or mental abuse, neglect or other harmful actions.
Work cooperatively as a team member with the Clearwater Jazz Force and other volunteers.
Be flexible and understanding that shift locations may be altered for best needs of the event.
Keep personal opinions and actions separate from those made as a representative of this organization.
Obey all applicable laws and regulations that govern the areas to which you are volunteering. If you have any questions about these laws and regulations, please see the Jazz Force member coordinating your area.
As a volunteer, I will not:
Use, possess, or be under the influence of alcohol at any time while volunteering.
Use, possess, or be under the influence of illegal drugs at any time while volunteering.
Be disrespectful, hateful, inconsiderate, rude or use profanity towards or in front of any park guest.
Use my personal cell phone while in the work area. If I need to take or make a call I will ask for a short break to do so.
Eat or smoke in the designated areas only and not in the work areas near guests. If you need to take a break, please coordinate with the Jazz Force member coordinating your area.
Solicit gratuities or gifts for personal or professional benefit.
Because the CJH is non-profit, we ask that you refrain from displaying any type of political support ( pins, shirts, hats, etc. ) .
Again, from everyone at Clearwater Jazz Holiday,
we thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedules to volunteer at this wonderful event!
You are the reason we are a success every year and we GREATLY appreciate you and your time!

Have a large group or organization that wants to Volunteer? Please email volunteer@clearwaterjazz.com for information on the 2023 event.
Volunteering is fun and a great way to meet new people! Volunteers work in all available areas throughout the event. Merchandise, Food Service, Hospitality and Ambassadors are just a few examples of the areas where volunteers are needed. Volunteers are also needed before and after the event for setup and breakdown. This event would not be a success without our volunteers.
Volunteer shifts average about four hours long depending on the area.
The minimum age for volunteers is 16. Younger volunteers are welcome, but we ask that they work along with Mom or Dad. No volunteers under 21 are allowed to help in the wine and beer tents for obvious reasons.
There is NO CHARGE for admission on the day of your shift and you will be allowed through the Volunteer Entrance 30 minutes prior to your shift. You may not enter the venue any earlier than 30 minutes before your shift. If you have purchased a general admission ticket then you may enter through the regular gates at any time and report to the Volunteer Check-In Area 30 minutes before your shift.
All volunteers receive a t-shirt, an unframed poster, a volunteer pin and a meal/beverage. You will also have the satisfaction of volunteering your time to one of the largest community events in Clearwater.
Comfort is KEY! Comfortable shoes are a MUST! Wear shorts, a t-shirt or whatever you are most comfortable in. You may also want to bring a sweater or jacket, as the evenings may be cool.
Simply log-in with your username & password to manage your shift dates and times.
The volunteer site will be open in July through October 16th. After October 16th - NO CHANGES will be made to the schedules.
We look forward to working with you this year! Have additional questions? Please call us at 727-461-5200
